WOW, Amazing value 
I guess since I am getting older I think deals like this are amazing. What a great value! I recently needed a ext. drive and went to Fry’s Electronics, all of their ext. drives in the 500GB category started out at 139.99. I really needed the drive quickly so I almost bought one, but then I had a Epiphany. I raced home, ordered this drive for 104.99, paid 1 day shipping at prime rate of 3.99, no tax. I had my drive the next day for 109 out the door versus 150+ at Fry’s. So yea, a great value.
Oh and the drive works wonderfully. It is fast. I like the metal casing. My only complaint is the blue light, It is bright!
value for money.
i’m using it to backup my music/photo collection essentially. can’t get more for lesser anywhere in the hard disk area.

I have little to add to the other 5 star reviews except one more vote of confidence.
I have a collection of external drives including several MyBooks, a One Touch and some older Western Digitals. I can say without hesitation that this Iomega is the best of the bunch. Light weight, quiet, fast, plenty of capacity, instant setup, and more.
A nice addition
My son and I like this drive and it arrived within the stated shipping time.
I bought 2 drives for my son and myself. It’s a little slow but not too bad for a usb drive. When copying a lot, say a backup of your whole hard drive, it’s best to let it go overnight. It takes a long time. For the price, it’s great and I’ll probably get another one eventually when this one is full. I like it better than DVD’s for long term backup and multi-media storage.
Very Satisfied!
I have to say I am very satisfied with this product and almost didn’t buy it because of some bad reviews it got. I really don’t know what happened to those buyers, because it’s not noisy at all and has been working perfectly - I am glad I just listened to the good reviews and now I have a lot of space to store my info.
