Yeah! Where is Vegas? Vanilla Levels
I completely agree with the previous reviewers point, where is Las Vegas in this game? My favorite levels in R6V1 were the casino levels, without that you would have just your typical generic shooter terrain and this is what we have in R6V2, there’s absolutely no reason to have Vegas in the name. If you’re going to have a “sequel” to an amazingly beautiful game like the first one don’t let us all down in the same way GRAW2 really blew it with a short storyline and the generic terrain. I played the first one through many times, this one I don’t see playing through more than twice so the value is just not there; like most sequels they get you with the first one and phone it in after that, don’t pay full price for this game, you can get the first one for five dollars and get a much better game.
The controls are the same as the first one, which worked so well so why change it?
For me the customization is meaningless as I play single player only and to me seems a little tedious with the colors, etc. The weapons are all pretty much the same, one thing I didn’t like was the locked weapons and the stupid points system to unlock them, please do this for online only where it makes sense.
But what is with that, if you are a 3 man team saving the world you’ll have any weapon you want from the start. It would make more sense to have the advanced weapons available at the more advanced difficulty settings and leave the points crap.

RB6V2 is the absolute best shooter out right now. I have them all and I enjoy this one the most. I loved the ability to customize your character to your own liking and the ablity to save your rank as you progress. Not only in the story and multi player mode, but online as well. This is a great game. I can never put it down.
pretty cool
This game is pretty cool. The only flaw is that it has a short storyline.
disappointed
game play was ok, but online was more like a chore, my son is the gamer(27) and he was really disappointed after all the hype he heard about it!!
More like Ghost Recon, but still fun!
Excellent squad shooter! Why did the US Gov’t only send three men to fight off an entire army of terrorists that have invaded a major American city? Fun? Yes! Plausible? No. Customizeable Character? Heck-Yea!
All said, I miss the original-style Rainbow Six 6 format of Clancy’s initial vision of anti-terrorism/hostage rescue military operations. The graphics are great and the game play is fun, so I’m not really complaining. I just wish the folks running the R6 development would pick-up Tom Clancy’s R6 excellent novel and get back to the true roots (at least as I saw it). One level being a significant plausible event of terrorism/criminal activity calling for highly skilled SWAT-style intervention with all the tangos dead on the floor.
I personaly would prefer that R6 series does not become a Call of Duty clone. Running street battles and major combat contentions are great video game material and extremly fun, but its not what R6 was supposed to primarily deal with. R6V2 is a great squad shooter and worth renting or buying.
