Customer reviews
Oh My Gawd is an understatement!
This is the first time that I’ve left a product review of any type, but I just felt that I had to….
I’m not an expert in audio, but I DID get tired of less expensive headphones just not living up to my expectations.
These Sony headphones are worth every penny. First, they have plenty of volume - something lesser headphones lack. Sometimes I just wanna ROCK - I want it LOUD. Most headphones dis-appoint on that.
So - I bought these because I read a review saying that they had higher volume at lower settings. Not only am I pleased with the volume (even when only connected to my ipod!), but the sound quality is STUNNING.
FANTASTIC Bass - You’d SWEAR that there is a sub-woofer operating somewhere, and the highs are all there. VERY impressive dynamic range.
Ok - I’ll stop being a salesman for Sony. Let’s just say that I was impressed enough to leave my FIRST product feedback. Buy these headphones, you will NOT be disappointed.

Great for Bass Guitar use
These headphones are great at doing what I bought them for - and that is to listen to my bass guitar through a Line 6 POD XT. I had been using Grados which are audiophile headphones, and they were popping and fluttering. It was really bad. My in ear Senheisers weren’t doing the job either. I had read the reviews on Amazon and decided to take a chance on these headphones. I’m happy I did. The output on these headphones is fantastic and they are comfortable to wear. They are really terrific in a home studio environment. If you are looking for a cheap alternative, consider the Sennheiser HD 202.
Hear it All
If you like music, you will love it with these headphones. The overall listening experience is excellent. I have tried Koss and Bose, but these Sony MDR 7506 are the best. The highs are clean and clear; the lows forceful without distortion and the midrange carries through it all with quality the way the musicians meant it to be. These headpphones are comfortable with a coiled one-sided cord that stays out of the way. They are light enough to wear for long periods of time. Included is a leather case to store. The headphones fold up and are of high quality throughout. The cord is built to last and is fastened in several places to ensure that it will not pull loose from the ear cups. I highly recommend these to anyone who loves to hear music the way it was produced and played in the studio.
Great if you’re not using them to commute.
Excellent sound, but bulky and has a long curly cord, which can be frustrating if you’re commuting with them. Otherwise, I would recommend them.
Great for transcriptionists who work in noisy environments
I am a transcriptionist who works in a busy and noisy production department. These headphones are wonderful for drowning out background and ambient noise. Definitely worth the money!
